Steven Curtis Chapman and Family Share
By admin | August 5, 2008
I am sure many of you heard about Steven Curtis Chapman and the tragic loss of their daughter, Maria. This week they will be sharing their story publicly for the first time on both Good Morning America and Larry King. Here is a preview clip from tomorrow’s GMA.
In his blog, Jim Houser, their manager, has very discreetly kept people up on how the family is doing and in my opinion, kept people praying for them. Today his post talks about how tomorrow, the day the GMA interview will air is 11 weeks to the day Maria went to Heaven. He is asking people to pray for the family tomorrow.
Steven Curtis Chapman updated Yours, one of his songs from his recent album to include a new verse on what he and his family have gone through. It ends with “God we belong to you”. You can read the rest of the lyrics here. The updated single will be released August 11 with the sales going to Shaohannah’s Hope in memory of Maria.
I have listened to Steven Curtis Chapman’s music my whole adult life and actually had the opportunity to meet him a few years back. He couldn’t have been any nicer.
So unless something changes you can see the family interviewed by Robin Roberts on Good Morning America this Wednesday, August 6th and then the family will be on Larry King Live August 7. They were to be featured in this weeks issue of People magazine but got postponed to the August 15th edition. I think they got bumped for the 30 plus pages of Brangelina baby photos.
If you think about it say a prayer for their family this week.
